History PayRoll Santana (Jeremy Merriweather) was born in Chicago Illinois at Cook County Hospital. While being raised in Chicago, PayRoll Santana did not have a consistent place to call home due to moving to different locations every few years of his life. PayRoll Santana had to preserve through countless struggles ranging from poverty, drug influences, gang life and gun violence.
As a byproduct of 2 hearing impaired parents life was very tough growing up mentally and financially in poverty. PayRoll Santana is the last child of 4 and grew up with his only sister in the same household. With his 2 older brothers living in separate homes, PayRoll was taught the game from his sister who was tied to the streets. With both parents having a disability PayRoll Santana was always nurtured by his stay at home mom. His father did not let his disability stop him from providing for his family. With little income coming in PayRoll Santana became active in the streets at a early age. PayRoll Santana was introduced to hustling at age 6, while living in the Renaissance in Hammond Indiana. Which is a low income based Project complex. At age 7 PayRoll Santana experienced someone shoot multiple gun shots at his mother lucky missing her by millimeters. Which caused them to move to another location.
Moving to Calumet City, Illinois #147 was a breath of fresh air for PayRoll Santana when he was 8 years old. Being able to develop friends out of the projects taught him there is much more to life then what he knew. With not being able to communicate with his parents normally without using sign language took a toll out on PayRoll. Which made him very outspoken and trouble in the school system. All he wanted to do is be heard which caused him to lash out.
PayRoll Santana became very active in Basketball as a outlet. But the older he got the more involved he became with gang banging and fast money.
At the age of 15 PayRoll Santana got expelled from high school and never went back. That same year he witness his parents get evicted from there apartment and forced to live in a 1 bed room apartment with his sister parents and Neice. At that point of time PayRoll Santana dedicated his life to the streets and providing funds for his family. With long talks from his loved ones he was convinced to at least try and get his GED. But right before he was about to complete the course October 7, 2007 PayRoll Santana was incarcerated in Cook County Jail at age 17 for a Armed Robbery he did not commit. Which sent his family in for a rude awaking. Facing up to 30 years in the penitentiary for a crime he did not commit. PayRoll Santana fought his case for 1 1/2 years before accepting a plea deal to go to down state boot camp. Which he ended up getting his GED while being incarcerated.
Being released from Jail PayRoll Santana felt his life was nothing more than the streets and continued on even further. After 2 years of parole his family had a intervention with him stating he needs to leave the state before something worse happens. His family feared for his freedom and life which lead him to go to Arizona with his oldest brother to try and turn a new leaf. Moving with his brother he was introduced to the music scene and studied his craft. Arizona was completely different and completely laid back compared to what he endured. PayRoll Santana was able to find a job in sales and utilize his hustle to make legal money. After seeing what he was capable of doing he became well know for the company he worked for. While continuing his craft with his brothers preparing for the right time. As he continued to work and do his music he was discovered by a label that was not major. He signed without the knowledge needed and it did not go far for him. Once the contract he was under was no more he started his independence.
December 25, 2014 is were PayRolls life would change forever. His 1st child was brought into this world which gave him more ambition to become a better man. He became more business minded and thought for the future of his children. Until 2019 his artist stage name was Push Fin Gang. But deep down inside that wasn’t who he felt he was. That’s when there was the birth of PayRoll Santana. This was the same year that his 2nd boy was received. Locking in with a producer that was on the same mental level as his self they created a brotherhood. DJ Bari Leonard Newton and PayRoll created their own sound. Quality authentic trap music, Which lead to the release of his first single “Going Down Now” released in 2019. Which was lead up by his first official project “Put’em on PayRoll” in 2020. With a goal of independence unless the offer is beneficial. Was even labeled a Jay-Z “reasonable doubt” with the right progression.
6 months after the release of “Put’em on PayRoll “ he released his ep “PETRO” with his producer/brother Ykaye beats. People started questioning why are you dropping music back to back? And he stated because I have material. As if going 2 for 2 wasn’t enough PayRoll Santana dropped “Trapbak” produced by Dj Bari and Dj Da Don. Which was industry standards dropping music videos that coordinates with the music and makes you like the song even more. With the alliance created from all the elbows rubbed and not burning bridges. Has created so much more potential for PayRoll Santana. Being able to independently fund and do industry standards, has taught PayRoll it’s possible. Most importantly the business
